Brisqora as a Toast POS alternative
Brisqora is a restaurant POS built for operators who want published prices, their own payment processor, and no multi-year contract. Toast bundles software, hardware, and required Toast Payments into a 2–3 year agreement. Brisqora starts at $29.99/month, runs on standard tablets and PCs, and can be cancelled any month.
Toast figures below are taken from Toast’s published plans and independent reviews as of August 2026, and are sourced at the bottom of this page. Toast changes its pricing; verify current numbers with Toast before deciding.

When Toast is the better choice
Toast is a large, well-funded company with thousands of restaurants on it, and there are real situations where it is the right answer and Brisqora is not:
- You want one vendor for everything. Toast sells payroll, team management, gift cards, marketing, and lending through Toast Capital. Brisqora does not.
- You run many locations or a franchise. Toast’s enterprise tooling and reporting across dozens of sites is more mature.
- You want purpose-built restaurant hardware. Toast’s spill-resistant terminals and handhelds are engineered for kitchens; Brisqora runs on off-the-shelf devices you buy yourself.
- You need the largest integration marketplace. Toast has far more third-party integrations than Brisqora.
- Vendor size matters to you. Toast is a public company. Brisqora is small, and that is a legitimate thing to weigh.
When Brisqora is the better choice
You want to keep your processor
This is the biggest structural difference. Toast requires you to process payments through Toast. Brisqora does not — use ours, or keep the processor and rates you already negotiated.
You will not sign for three years
Brisqora is month to month. If it stops earning its place, you stop paying. There is no remaining-term balance to settle.
You want to know the price before you call
Every module price is published, down to the last dollar. No quote, no discovery call, no rate that appears after year one.
You are one location, not thirty
Brisqora is built for independent restaurants and small groups — the register, the kitchen screen, your own ordering site, kiosks, and the delivery apps in one queue.
What a month actually costs
Brisqora’s prices are per location and published in full:
| Setup | Modules | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| Counter service, one register | Base | $29.99 |
| Counter service, kitchen screen, ready texts | Base + 1 device + SMS | $73.99 |
| Two extra screens, kiosk, SMS, all three delivery apps | Base + 2 devices + kiosk + SMS + delivery | $243.99 |
Your own ordering website is charged at 4.99% per order with no monthly fee, so it costs nothing in a month with no online orders. Card processing is separate and depends on the processor you choose — including one you already use.
Switching from Toast
Your menu
We rebuild your menu, modifiers, and prices from your existing setup so you are not retyping hundreds of items.
Your hardware
Brisqora runs on standard Android tablets and Windows PCs. Toast’s own terminals are locked to Toast, so plan on using devices you buy yourself or already own.
Your contract
Check your Toast agreement’s end date and early-termination terms before you move. Many restaurants run Brisqora’s 30-day trial alongside Toast and switch at renewal rather than paying to break the term.
Questions restaurants ask
Do I have to use Brisqora for card processing?
No. You can use Brisqora’s integrated processing or connect the processor you already have. This is the main structural difference from Toast, which requires Toast Payments.
Do I need to buy new hardware?
Not from us. Brisqora runs on standard Android tablets and Windows PCs, so you buy ordinary devices at ordinary prices. Toast terminals cannot be moved to Brisqora.
Is there a contract?
No. Brisqora is month to month and can be cancelled anytime. Toast agreements typically run two to three years with early-termination charges.
Do delivery-app orders still need their own tablets?
No. Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub orders inject straight into the POS and the kitchen display for $120/month combined, so nobody retypes a marketplace order.
What does it cost to try it?
Nothing. 30 days free, no card required, cancel anytime.
